Warranty

Coastal Custom Woodworx warranties our wood doors for a period of 18 months from the date of installation. If the doors are stored on site for more than 5 days prior to installation then the distributor or owner of the doors will be responsible for any care or damage that could arise during storage. All doors must be finished or painted within 48 hours of installation.

Coastal Custom Woodworx reserves the right to fix any wood door problems that could arise during our warranty period. We are not responsible for any staining or painting that could be needed after repair has been done to the door. Staining or Painting will be at owners’ expense.

Coastal Custom Woodworx is a custom product & requires professional finishing during & after installation. Failure to follow our guide lines on finishes will void our warranty.

Painting & Staining Instructions

All paint grade doors will be primed by Coastal Custom Woodworx. Paint grade doors must be finished on all sides & edges by the finisher. All paint grade doors must receive a minimum of 2 coats of quality exterior paint after installation. Stain grade doors have to be stained on all sides & edges. Coastal Custom Woodworx ask that you don’t use a water-based stain product on our wood doors, this could require more maintenance to the finisher & home owner. We suggest an exterior oil-based stain for all our doors. Doors should have at least two coats of stain & clear coat.

(Dark colors such as dark browns or black are not recommended on Southern or Western exposures) Darker colors increase the chances of the wood material cracking or checking. If cracking or checking acquires due to the darker stain colors then this will be at the stainer or home owners expense to repair.
